A Wonderful Clinic!
Miranda Equestrian welcomed Wiljan Laarakkers back for a special
clinic in October. Randie has worked with Wiljan for many years both
for clinics and importing show jumpers to the U.S.
Wiljan achieved national status when in 1985 he was selected to ride as
a member of the Dutch National Team. His many career highlights
include winning World Cup - Amsterdam and a member of the Dutch Olympic
Team in Seoul, South Korea. For the last 20 years Wiljan has been
a competitor on the Dutch National Team with numerous Grand Prix and
Nations Cup Victories.
Wiljan and wife, Joan Scharffenberger (1985-1990 World Championships), currently teach top junior and young riders in Holland. Most recently one for their students was selected as a member of the Gold Medal winning team in the European Championships.
